JetPROP | The JetPROP DLX is a Malibu/Mirage with a Pratt & Whitney PT6A-34 turbine engine and a Hartzell 4-blade reversible propeller. The conversion consists of a new dual battery system, including rack and structure support beneath the forward cabin seats, installation of dual lighted and heated wingtip pitot tube, installation of new engine instruments and the controls necessary for the conversion, the installation of a new header tank sealed in the right 1/3 forward baggage area (while still leaving room for Golf clubs!) with complete pump and support system, and the replacement of everything forward of the firewall with new or reinstall equipment for the installation of the new turbine engine and reversing 4-blade propeller. The conversion can be made to either the Malibu or the Mirage, and upon completion, the planes are virtually identical, except for the interior fittings.

JetPROP turbine engine | The JetPROP DLX is powered by the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-35, reverse flow, free turbine engine with air-cooled guide vanes. By using one of the most reliable engines in the history of aviation, your newly converted Malibu/Mirage will far outperform, outlast and outclass any single engine aircraft. The Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-34 is the most reliable and thoroughly proven power plant in the world, having logged over 170 million flight hours on more than 10,000 aircraft in operation. Every three seconds, somewhere around the globe, a Pratt-powered aircraft takes off or lands. Pratt & Whitney is the world's leading designer, developer and manufacturer of gas turbine engines for commercial, military and general aviation aircraft. The PT6A-34 that is used in the conversion has a thermodynamic power rating of 750 shaft horsepower, flat rated to 560 horsepower at takeoff.
